playing my new games!
Aug. 9th, 2026 10:46 pmyesterday i started my day around 11am, i didn't do much before my mom asked if i wanted to go with her to run some errands. i didn't get out of the car because of still being sick, but it was nice to finally get out of the house x3 we had to go to the ups store so she could return something to amazon, then to a clothing store so she could buy some pants, and finally to the orchard to get peaches. she also got a bag of apples, i'll definitely be eating some :3 we also got lunch while we were out. i think arby's is really the world's most misunderstood fast food restaurant, their white cheddar mac and cheese is so good *^* i got that and curly fries with cheese, with a coke zero to drink.
when we got home i wanted to play one of the games i bought on friday. i decided to start with toem, because it was the only one i hadn't had someone tell me they really liked it, plus i needed to play something more relaxing and cozy after paper's please x3 i ended up playing for... over five hours. i finished the entire main story, but it also has bonus content that i didn't get very far into before quitting to eat dinner. it's a really cute and fun game! you basically just go around taking photos of things and doing quests until you get enough stamps for a bus pass to move on to the next area, and when you get to the end you see the "toem" phenomena, which is kinda like northern lights? it's so pretty, here's a (spoiler, technically) picture of it ^-^ i definitely recommend playing it yourself if you like camera mechanics and quests! plus the toem is so much prettier in-game so my spoiler doesn't even do it justice x3 honestly, the game reminds me a lot of a short hike; the entire storyline in both games is building up to reaching the top of a mountain and seeing the beautiful sight at the peak, and you help other people along the way.

as mentioned, toem also has bonus content once you complete the game, which was a nice surprise i didn't know about :3 it's a whole extra level to play and do quests and take photos in! i appreciate that it's not a paid dlc, they could've easily charged for it but instead it was a free update that was added i believe around a year after the game released. i ended up 100%ing after dinner, and in total the entire game took me 6.2 hours, which i'd say is a pretty good amount of playtime for me to have gotten it for 2$ on sale! it's still on sale until the 14th, so if you think you might like it, i recommend getting it now! there's a sequel set to release at the end of next month, and i might just have to spend some birthday money on it after how much i enjoyed the first game x3
after playing toem, i opened twitter to talk about it to see that cellbit mentioned quackity on his stream?! for context, cellbit and quackity haven't interacted publicly since qsmp1 shut down over two years ago, and it was just kind of assumed they weren't friends anymore (plus a lot of cellbit's fans dislike quackity so the fandoms don't get along very well). i suppose a mention doesn't necessarily mean they are still friends, but it's at least nice to know they're not on bad terms x3 someone asked if cellbit had seen quackity at the streamer games he competed in, and he said he didn't because he wasn't there. i honestly don't know what i would have done if he was there and we got a real life interaction between them after so long... i'd probably have just fallen over dead, honestly. it's maybe better for my mental health that he wasn't there x3
i didn't do much else before going to bed, but i eventually got back out of bed because i couldn't sleep. it was storming and the storm knocked out the power not long after i got up, so i played some lifegen until going back to bed around 2-3am. i wrote little first person paragraphs about each moon, maybe i'll upload it somewhere but i'm not sure >_< my clan is called frozenclan and my main character is silverpaw. here's her profile because i think she's super pretty, i can't wait until she's an adult because i love the longhair sprite i used. my goal is to not abandon this clan like i do every other one and actually play until my mc passes away.

today i woke up feeling mostly recovered from my sickness, thankfully, though i still have a lingering persistent cough. i can't go more than a few minutes without coughing and the cough is so painful in my chest and stomach, it's awful T^T i better have visible abs by the time this is over... i didn't go to church, though i didn't plan on it either way since i still felt fairly icky yesterday and the last thing i want to do is get a young child or elderly person sick with what could possibly be covid. i'm honestly surprised i'm not feeling the restlessness a bit more considering in the past week the only time i've left the house was to sit in the car and do nothing x3 i suppose not being as sick as usual probably helps; i've actually been getting up and doing stuff every day instead of spending all day in bed. i'm definitely starting to feel it though, i can't wait to be fully recovered so i can reintegrate into society >_<
it's 10:30am right now and i just got up, and i think i might jump straight into another new game! i put a poll on tumblr last night asking what i should play next, because as mentioned i didn't really have a plan of the order i wanted to play them in, plus endacopia and oneshot have a similar runtime, amount of achievements, etc. so there's nothing to really point toward which will be quicker to finish. the poll currently has 75 votes with an 88% vote for endacopia, so i think it's pretty clear who the winner is... i'm really excited to play endacopia, i think i mentioned this in one of my other recent posts but i've had it on my wishlist since around a week before release, and it seems like a game i'll be really into! i'll update with my thoughts when i stop for a break!
so... it's now 5pm :D besides a lunch break, i played the whole time... over five hours... again... i like it a lot so far! for sake of knowing where i am in the story, i've already beat the ai and now just beat the trapezist. i can't decide if i want to finish it tonight, i have a feeling i'm getting fairly close to the end. i'm definitely not going to 100% it tonight, and i'm not sure if i'm going to 100% it before i play oneshot or not; it doesn't seem quite as easy to 100% as toem was. the low mouse sensitivity in that game is really messing with me after playing it for so long, i feel like my regular sensitivity is way too high x3 i love the trapezist's design, she reminds me of some other character from something else but i can't put my finger on who. i've been enjoying the horror elements, though i almost wish they were a bit more prominent? sometimes it's easy to completely forget i'm playing a horror game because nothing even remotely spooky is happening. and maybe that's by design of course, but i don't know. it felt a lot more horror focused at the beginning than it does now in the middle. as far as difficulty goes, so far i've had to look up just one or two things and both times i happened to be in the completely wrong place for what i was trying to do >_< i also really struggled to beat clocky for some reason, so i've been pleasantly surprised by how easy the boss fights have felt in comparison x3
i'm really tired and my throat is starting to hurt again (i will never know health again i fear) so i think i'm going to take a nap or at least just lay in bed for a bit, and i might play some more endacopia when i get up!
...i slept for around three hours somehow T^T it's now 10:30pm, i woke up around 9pm and ate a small dinner of nuggets with avocado ranch. i really want the last cheese hot pocket so i think i'm going to eat that, and then i'm going to jump back into endacopia! i'm at the point in my imprisonment aka illness that i'm not sure what to do with myself if i'm not playing a video game >_< it's probably pretty obvious in this post, but all i want to do all day is play games and especially with these shorter games it's so easy to get sucked in for hours and hours. but i suppose playing games is better than other things i could be doing with my time like doomscrolling social media, at least i'm having fun instead of getting angry at strangers x3
i'm going to go ahead and post this since it's so late, all i really plan to do before going back to bed is hopefully finish endacopia and maybe even get started on achievement hunting if that doesn't take too long. hopefully i'm not up too late, but considering what my sleep schedule has become and how long i slept earlier, i probably will be ;3; goodnight!
