celebrating my birthday!

leafkinzyesterday we finally went out to celebrate my birthday! i'll try to remember every store we went to and everything but some things might get left out on accident x3
usually we go to cincinnati so we can go to jungle jims, but this time we decided to go to easton town center in the columbus area instead. it was huge! i've never seen so many stores and done so much walking just to get from one store to the next... i thought i'd been there before, but i don't think i actually have, and if i have it was quite a long time ago because i don't remember it.
the first thing we did was we stopped at a gas station to get some snacks because we were all hungry x3 i got confetti flavored soft baked cookies and a (zero added sugar) pumpkin spice frappuccino. i drank most of my coffee and ate a few cookies plus a few of the combos my mom got. when we finally got to columbus we had lunch at cheesecake factory, which is a little tradition for my birthday that started a few years ago :3 i was thinking about doing chili's this year because i'd really been wanting their chipotle mozzarella sticks, but cheesecake factory ended up sounding better and i didn't want to break the tradition. i got the margherita flatbread, it was really good but i do wish it had balsamic on top T^T me and my mom also got cheesecake and i got the tiramisu flavor ^-^
after lunch, we headed to build a bear! it was a very long walk and i was sweating like crazy by the time we got there ;3; i got echo the plaid skirt set and i also got a werewolf! i didn't end up getting a scent for echo, mainly because i was wanting one of the new halloween scents and they didn't have them, but also because i didn't want to bother the bear builder with opening her up just to put a scent inside >_< but for my werewolf i got the unicorn scent! it's a pretty strong scent and smells a bit like floral scented laundry detergent, it's nice :3 i also got her the rainbow pj set as her outfit, i think it looks super cute on her and it has the benefit of not looking Too Much like pajamas so she can wear it as her everyday outfit as well ^-^ i've decided to name her autumn and she might honestly be my new favorite build a bear i own...
the next stop we made was the lego store, where we each got a little minifigure we made of ourselves! i think my mom's turned out the cutest x3 we unfortunately didn't get any actual lego sets before heading into the big indoor part of the mall. my mom wanted to sit down so we left all our stuff with her in the food court and me and my sister walked around. our first stop was funnily enough legoland x3 we didn't get anything, but they had the project hail mary set... if i'd had any more cash than i did i probably would've 100% been going home with that thing. we also went to hot topic, boxlunch, and a candy store, but the only purchase we made was my sister spending 5$ on a bottle of sour candy powder x3
our next stop was barnes and noble! i don't have any room for physical books, i already have a few stacked on top of the ones that are actually on the shelf, so the only thing i got there was a puzzle. it's super cute, it's a 1000 piece puzzle called "cats of the world" and the art is a bunch of cat themed stamps! i love it so much and i can't wait to put it together. i might have to take it over to my grandparents' though, i don't think i have a big enough flat surface here at home ;3; i really need to invest in one of those puzzle boards or something, but they tend to be pretty expensive from what i've seen. maybe i'll ask for one and some more puzzles for christmas :p
our final two stops before dinner were trader joe's and target. for some reason i thought trader joe's was a west coast only kind of place, so it was interesting to go into one for the first time. it was very packed, labor day is apparently a pretty popular day to do your grocery shopping x3 we got a spaghetti squash and a jar of pumpkin(? i can't remember) pasta sauce and some pumpkin oat bites i picked out. i remember seeing someone say once that trader joe's oat bites were really good, and they were not lying! the only person who didn't like it when we tried one was my sister, me and my mom both loved it. i wanted to go to target to see if they had the shai meadows mirror mi doll, but they unfortunately didn't have her... so i ended up coming home with a monster high doll instead >_<
so, for some background i guess, i've been into monster high since i was a kid but i never owned any dolls. i watched the webseries and was obsessed with reading the character profiles on the website (undiagnosed autism go crazy), but i wasn't a doll kid so i just... never had any of the dolls. i've loved draculaura's gen3 design since gen3 dolls first started being released, and i really wanted one for a while, but as you can assume from me talking about how akiko is my very first fashion doll, i never ended up buying myself one. until now, at least x3 i got the wave 3 faboolous friends draculaura, i'm obsessed with her outfit and her hairstyle! she looks especially cute with her little sunglasses and her little smartphone x3 it just feels so crazy that i've been into monster high since i was a kid but i've only now purchased my first ever monster high doll at 26 years old...
my mom really wanted to take my sister to this restaurant we always have dinner at when we go to the ladies retreat in wintertime, but when we got there the door said they'd closed at 4pm... so we ended up having dinner at wingstop x3 i'd never been to wingstop before, but oh my goodness... if you have never had their louisiana voodoo fries... go get them right now. they are incredible. i wasn't very hungry and i still ended up eating about half the large order of fries we got because they were so good *^* i need a wingstop to open closer to home right now so i can eat those fries every single day.
and that was our entire day! it was fun and i always love a good shopping trip :3 i think this post is going to only be about yesterday instead of including today, since it's pretty long already and i have lots of photos to add. i don't have plans to do much of anything today after yesterday was so busy, i'm exhausted and need to recharge so today will probably be really boring and chill outside of needing to do the trash tonight. so my next post will probably be thursday instead of tomorrow and i'll just skip today. see you then :3c
