one year tomorrow!

i want to start this post by talking about poppy seed pets; i mentioned in my last post that i had been reminded of its existence and started playing again. unfortunately, there was an issue a while ago with the dev using generative ai on the site, and it turns out nothing has changed (in fact, it seems to have gotten worse). i will not be continuing to play as i don't want to support a site that's using ai, especially ai art like psp has. it is so easy to either draw the art yourself or commission someone else if you want a specific artstyle, or even just use stock images! there are so many other options before you get to ai art, and it sucks that the dev of a site that clearly has a lot of love and creativity put into it chose ai over those other options. the original issue was from years ago, so he's had plenty of time to realize the harms of generative ai and backtrack, which he clearly hasn't. it's unfortunate, but i think i can survive without poppy seed pets when there are so many other pet sites that aren't utilizing ai.

anyway, that aside, continuing onto yesterday. my mom had a doctor's appointment so i went with her to that, and i read a couple more chapters of my book while i waited. after the appointment, we went to the farmer's market, as has become our routine the past few weeks. i was so excited because the amish sellers had blueberries! i've been waiting so impatiently for there to be fruit other than peaches, everyone typically only has vegetables. i absolutely love getting blueberries from the farmer's market, they're always so much sweeter and more flavorful than any you can get at the store <3 we also got some zucchini and squash, onions, and tomatoes :3

after the farmer's market, we were both starving, so we went to bob evan's for lunch. i had a cup of potato soup and a grilled cheese with sweet tea to drink. being meat free i don't have a lot of options at bob evan's, and i usually either get what i had yesterday or chocolate chip hotcakes if i'm wanting something more breakfasty and sugary. their grilled cheese is absolutely incredible, it tastes like they dipped the whole slice of bread into a vat of butter... it's heavenly *^* i ate almost all of my food and drank all of my tea!

my mom had to pick up some medicine so we stopped at the clinic for that and then went to walmart. i needed deodarant so i got that (lavender and mint scented :3) and i also caved and bought another gui gui slime... i got the gloss slime this time, and i actually really like it! it's definitely smaller than the butter slime which is a bit sad, but it has that stretch and pop that i wanted, plus it's orange scented and i adore any kind of citrus scent, especially orange. i'm not sure yet if i like it more than the squishmallows brand, i'd say it's probably not worth the same price considering how little you get in comparison, but it is pretty nice. the little charm it came with is quite a bit bigger than the bunny one, and it has much bigger beads inside, so it makes a different sound when you shake it, which i like. bonus points for it being a cat >:3 the little rubber charms you can see in the picture i decided to leave out of the slime, they would probably just fall out and they're nice to just squish so i prefer them separate x3


on the way home we stopped at wendy's because i really wanted a diet orange cream soda (i'll end my life if they ever stop selling it) and i also got a vanilla frosty with my keytag. i got the soda without ice so i can just pour it into a different cup when i want some and i don't have to worry about it getting watered down :3 last time i did that it lasted me like a week, which is definitely worth the three dollars for a large >_< we got home around 4pm and i decided i really needed a nap before i took out the trash because not only was it pouring rain, but i also didn't sleep well and then had to get up early to go to my mom's appointment.

i slept for around an hour and woke up with the cat slid halfway off my chest with her head on the pillow right next to my face x3 she's been the most velcro baby to ever velcro baby the past few days and that is obviously not changing anytime soon. i don't mind though, i love her so much and i love when she has her moments of being super cuddly and affectionate <3 after getting up i did the trash then took a shower, then sat down to finish my book because again, i was cutting it very close to get it finished before it was due. i read for around two hours to finish it, and had a killer headache afterwards T^T i rated it 4.25 stars, it was pretty good :3

once i had finished my book, it was around 9:30pm and i hadn't had dinner yet, so i did that. i had a be'f and broccoli bowl and a baked potato and drank some of my orange cream soda. i considered doing some pixel cat's end adventuring after dinner, but it was already 10:30pm and i still had a headache so i decided to just finish the youtube video i was watching and go to bed.

today i woke up around 11am and was so tired because i slept horribly T^T i sat around and stared at tumblr for an hour before it was lunchtime. i decided to eat my leftover rapid fired pizza and some farmer's market blueberries for lunch. after eating, i did my usual routine of watching youtube and doing a few pixel cat's end adventures, and as usual had no luck with business cards. by the time i got bored of adventuring, it was about 2:30pm, and i really wanted to do something offline because my eyes hurt from staring at my computer screen. i ended up settling on diamond painting as i hadn't touched it in a bit, and worked on that for about two hours. i started out listening to music but sneegsnag went live just a few minutes after i started so i decided to watch him play shift at midnight instead :3 when i finally got bored of diamond painting, i switched back to pixel cat's end adventuring while i finished sneeg's stream.

7:30pm update, i ended up switching from sneeg's stream to ranboo's when they went live because they're playing a game i thought seemed interesting, desktop explorer. it's really cool :3 i've spent basically my whole day watching twitch streams, but i haven't watched one at all in a while so i think it's okay x3 i forgot to mention this before, but we didn't have church tonight because the parking lot hadn't been fixed in time. i think it's supposed to be fixed by sunday, though. honestly, if the sink holes were going to happen, i kinda wish it was next week so i could spend more time adventuring and stuff during candlelight >_<

i won't be posting of course so i'll mention it again here; tomorrow is my one year anniversary of using dreamwidth! dreamwidth is my first delve into long form blogging and even though it's mainly just chronologizing my days and talking about what i'm doing and interested in, i've enjoyed it a lot. it's kind of silly too looking back at my first few posts because they were so much shorter than the ones i write now x3 i took a few months off from blogging but i'm really glad i got back into it, it's really fun, even if no one is reading it except me :p

it's now 9:30pm, i really wanted to watch ranboo's entire stream but i'm so tired and i've been watching streams for like six hours so i think i'm going to just go to bed and maybe finish the vod tomorrow or something T^T goodnight <3
