yesterday i woke up around 10:30am, and jumped straight into pixel cat's end adventuring and pea games since i didn't get much done on sunday. i did this until noon when i ate lunch, which was just two uncrustables, then did some more adventuring until i got bored of it around 1pm. i finished with 3000 buttons and 18 silver gifts, very close to halfway to 100 :3 i really think i can do it this year!

speaking of pixel cat's end, my three year anniversary is in a little over two weeks! i can't believe i've been on the site for so long, it's seriously the only pet site i've ever been so regularly active on and i just really love it and the community it has so much <3 i don't have anything planned for my anniversary this year since i'm working on downsizing and am hoarding my business cards, but i'll of course be happy to open my basket and business card from nestor :3 i was going to add my anniversary cat from last year here but i actually posted on my anniversary, so i'll just link to that post instead.

anyway, when i was finished with adventuring, i decided to play some minecraft. i'm not sure how i got so off track... i logged on with the intention of building an enchantment room. instead of doing that, i went looking for a dog, went caving instead, found three axolotls, and ended up logging off without even starting on the enchantment room ;3; i'm happy to have axolotls though, i named them berry (pink), wooper (yellow), and spider (brown). i always name one of my axolotls spider because that was the name of the first axolotl i ever had in minecraft! i've been slowly covering a tiny ravine outside my house with glass and there's a little water pocket near the top, so i put the axolotls in there :3 the lush cave i found them in was humongous and it looked so pretty with my shaders ^-^ in case anyone wants to know, i use complimentary unbound!

i went back to adventuring for a while (and finally got my 22nd business card), and i started to watch sneeg's stream before deciding i want to play this game myself first. the game is endacopia, it just came out yesterday but i've had it on my wishlist for maybe a week? it seems really cool and is a 2d psychological horror game which i want to play more of :3 i think i could really be into horror games in theory, but so many of them are 1. first person pov (which makes me motion sick more often than not) and/or 2. completely reliant on jumpscares to be scary. i played five nights at freddy's: into the pit a few months ago after getting it for free on epic games and i really really liked it! i wish more horror games had that 2d / pixel art style and weren't just jumpscare slop like so many of them tend to be. i jumped multiple times while playing doki doki literature club and the "jumpscares" in that game were just glitches and music changes, i can't handle jumpscare heavy games T^T

as much as i want to play endacopia, i ultimately decided that i needed to put more time into the games i already own before buying more. i have a very bad habit of buying games just to barely play them or even leave them completely unplayed for months and months (i've owned tiny bookshop since october) and i need to stop spending money on games if they're just going to rot in my library; i refuse to become one of those stereotypical steam users who has hundreds to thousands of games in their backlog. after going back and forth on what to play, i decided it was time i try out papers please! i've had this game for a few months as well and had yet to play it before yesterday. the first try went... pretty badly T^T i only got to like day five before i ran out of money and got put in jail x3 i turned on easy mode after that just so i wouldn't have to ration my spending and it helped a whole lot. i made it to day twelve before quitting because it was almost time for chicken smoothie rollover. i think i'm going to try to 100% the achievements for papers please after i'm done with my first (well. technically second but i don't think that one counts) playthrough and then finally... finally start playing tiny bookshop.

last night's chicken smoothie rollover was... overwhelming. there were two new token types added, hourly tickets (which doesn't even guarantee one you need for today's trade-ins) and coins on the usual banners (which also doesn't guarantee you get a coin with each banner), and the coin has seven total outcomes ;3; i like to keep all my pets with their respective litters, so it's a bit overwhelming trying to decide which adoptions to do when. what i've decided to do is get all the ticket pets as i acquire tickets, and hold off on trading for the coin pets until i have enough for them all. hopefully i can easily get all four ticket outcomes before tonight's rollover.

for dinner i had a grilled cheese with tofurkey deli slices, tomato, and ranch... it was so good *^* i also had a baked potato! i planned to play some more papers please before bed but i was so tired and it was a bit late by the time i had dinner, so i just went straight to bed.

this morning i laid in bed for... way too long after waking up. i finally got up around 10am and took a shower, then just kinda sat around until i needed to get ready to leave, which brings us to now at almost noon. we're going to the farmer's market and to meet my sister for lunch and a walk? i'm not entirely sure >_< we're also going grocery shopping, which is great because i feel like i have no food except uncrustables and snacks x3 i managed to get all my chicken smoothie ticket pets this morning too! now i just need to gather enough coins to get the all penny seals before i adopt them. we'll see if i manage that before rollover...

6pm update! we didn't end up going grocery shopping, but i'm really not that upset because i was so hot i thought i was going to die by the time we headed home. we got our usual veggies and peaches plus blackberries, blueberries, and a sugar cube melon at the farmers market, then ate at a local restaurant for lunch with my sister. i had the veggie sandwich which had cheese, peppers, mushrooms, and tomato on rye bread. it was pretty good, but some bites tasted a bit too much like tomato >_< it also came with chips and i had a diet pepsi to drink. after lunch we took our walk and went to the nearby bookstore and an antique shop. i didn't buy anything at the antique shop but my mom bought me these really cute sanrio cards :3 i'm not sure if they're official but they were only 75 cents so it's okay if not x3 at the bookstore i got a coloring book and little dumpling squishy, i'm pretty sure the dumpling was like 12$... so i kinda regret that part of my purchase and i wish i asked how much it was before buying it, i assumed it would be like 5$ T^T oh well, i'm happy with the coloring book at least ^-^

the antique shop was so unbearably hot. i was sweating like crazy the whole time we were in there and the whole walk back to the car, i even thought i was going to throw up or pass out at multiple points. thankfully i didn't do that, but wow was it hot in there ;3; i really hate sweating and i do so bad with being hot and/or in the sun, i can't wait until autumn rolls around and we get three weeks of perfect weather before winter starts x3

after getting home, i mostly sat around talking with my sister before we ran to the grocery store together to get some stuff we needed for dinner, and it's now about 7:30pm. i'm going to have a salad for dinner plus i'm finally making the buldak carbonara mac and cheese i got what feels like ages ago. i really hope it's good, i've seen mixed reviews but i love a spicy mac and cheese >_< my favorite way to eat mac and cheese is with buffalo wing sauce mixed in, it's heavenly *^* my mom and sister are having cola chicken, so i might drink a diet cola with my dinner :3 for now, i think i'm going to do some pixel cat's end adventuring until either dinner is ready or chicken smoothie rollover happens, whichever comes first, then i'm going to play some more papers please after dinner!

update, it's now 10pm. the mac and cheese was okay, i definitely prefer the ramen. and i added too much sauce so it was super spicy T^T i also had sauteed veggies and the salad i mentioned. i got the ending in papers please where you get arrested for the ezic money, i think i either missed the ezic agent who came to interfere with the investigation and denied them or maybe they didn't come because i wasn't moving fast enough? i don't know, it's hard to move fast when i have so many things i have to check ;3; i might keep playing before i go to bed because i really want to finish the game, but we'll see since it's already 10pm. i have drank caffeine with my dinner, so i'll probably be up pretty late, i just don't know if i want to spend that time stressing myself out in a video game... i wish the easy mode toggle also gave you more time in a day along with the extra credits, but that might be overkill for a game that's supposed to be a little difficult x3

something i forgot to mention earlier, i learned today that apparently you can set photos as apple watch faces (i always thought that wasn't possible for some reason) and i changed it to this picture of precious... i still want to cry every time i look at it, it's so cute T^T <3

so, it's the next day. i've finally lost my every other day posting streak. not because i didn't plan to post this last night, but because i thought i was losing my computer last night. precious loves to sit on my desk and drink out of my cup, and as mentioned i had diet cola with my dinner. well, when there was just a bit left in the cup, precious decided she wanted a drink. she stuck her entire head in the cup so it came with her when she tried to pull her head out, and the cup fell and spilled everywhere... right next to my laptop. i had an entire breakdown because i was sure she had damaged my 1k$+ laptop that i haven't even had for two years, and i was going to have to either find a way to pay to get it fixed or worse an entirely new computer. thankfully, that doesn't seem to be the case, at least so far. i shut it off and left it open upside down overnight and it's so far working just fine this afternoon; keyboard, mouse, speakers, and all. i'm really hoping and praying that aforementioned breakdown was an extreme overreaction and nothing is going to happen to it, though i am still a little paranoid about it exploding or something... i really think 99% of what spilled, which wasn't much technically, ended up on the floor and not inside my laptop like i thought it did. there was one casualty though, my power strip T^T but i'd rather lose a power strip than my entire laptop, obviously, so i don't even care about that if my computer is okay.

it feels a bit ridiculous and dramatic to have been so upset considering it's not like i use my computer for work or school so i don't need it, and i also didn't pay for it myself. but i use this thing literally every single day, i do so much on it, and the thought of losing it was devastating. i suppose i'm not entirely out of the woods yet and it could still decide to stop working or explode or something, but for now i'm relieved that it seems to be okay. i'm going to try not to leave it plugged in and powered on 24/7 at least until i'm sure it's fully free of damage, and keep it off the charger and shut off when i'm not actively using it. i guess we'll see if i end up needing to pay for repair or get a new computer altogether in the coming week(s), if someone reads this i beg of you to pray for my poor laptop ;3;
