oh, wow. i can't believe i haven't posted here since the new year. i kind of lost interest in long form blogging after returning to tumblr; it was easier to write short rambles about anything and everything at any time than what was basically an essay every other day. however, i've been really missing it lately, even if just to have a way to record my days and hobbies as they change and maybe romanticize the mundanity of my life a little bit. i can't promise i'll get back to the every other day or even once a week schedule, but i'd like to attempt to get back into popping in on here every once in a while just to chat about what i've been up to!

i'm not sure how even to start explaining what i've been up to in the... oh boy. around six months since i've been gone. i suppose i'll just kind of talk about whatever comes to mind as i'm writing. to start, one of my goals this year was to read at least thirty books; i read every day in 2025 and somehow didn't make it past thirty completed books, so for 2026 i set myself an actual reading goal instead of a streak goal. so far i've finished twelve books and just started my thirteenth today! according to storygraph, i'm on track to meet my goal, though i'd really like to get back to being ahead by at least one book. i feel like every time i get ahead i stop reading for a bit and lose that momentum T^T in about mid-february, i bought myself a kobo clara bw ereader, and i genuinely think it's one of the best purchases i've ever made for myself. all the books i've read on it have been through libby, it's so nice to know that i'm able to support the library without having to worry about going physically (which is very difficult when i can't drive) and not having to pay for books when they're so expensive right now is great too x3 i decorated my kobo with a clear case and stickers and got it a really cute carry sleeve which i'll put photos of below!

something i've gotten very, very interested in just this month is, like a lot of other people, ryan gosling. i read project hail mary at the beginning of the month and thought it was pretty good, planned to see the movie, and moved on with life... but two days later i was hyperfixating so hard i couldn't think about anything else. it was another week before i was able to see the film, and after that point i truly was beyond saving. my project hail mary hyperfixation pretty quickly evolved to ryan gosling in general thanks to joining the twitter fandom for phm, and i've been working my way through his filmography the past few weeks. just this month i've watched fifteen movies, which if you know me at all, you know is an absolutely insane number; before the ryan gosling brain worms got me, i was lucky to watch (and especially finish) five movies in an entire year. tripling that in less than a month makes me feel like i'm a completely different person x3 here's all the gosling films i've watched so far: project hail mary (three times, all in theaters), the fall guy, song to song, la la land, the nice guys, crazy stupid love, drive, lars and the real girl (twice), stay, and the notebook. i've liked them all pretty well except song to song, i genuinely believe that is the single most boring movie i have ever watched in my entire life. my favorite has of course been project hail mary, though i also gave a five star rating to stay and lars and the real girl. i still have quite a few to get to, i'm currently 35% through ryan's filmography, but it's been fun being able to watch all these movies for the first time. this whole thing has gotten me pretty interested in film as a whole as well, there are multiple movies in theaters right now i'd like to see and i made myself a watchlist. it's been very fun getting so interested in something i'd never really liked before <3

i was going to finish this tonight but it's 10pm and i've somehow only written three paragraphs in over an hour? so i'll try finishing it tomorrow instead :3

finally coming back to this two days later because i was so busy yesterday i didn't even touch my computer... oopsies >_<

another thing i've done this year so far is in january i finally, after well over a year, picked up ordem paranormal again and finished o segredo na floresta! i finished fifteen 3-5 hour episodes in just a few weeks, so i had to take a break before starting the next season because i kinda burnt myself out on it T^T but osnf is such a good season and i absolutely understand why it's a fan favorite and is generally regarded as one of if not the best season. arthur very quickly became a new favorite character, i absolutely adore him and i can't wait to see more interaction between him and agatha when i eventually get back into watching ^-^ i also started playing enigma do medo for the third time (i played it for the second time around christmas) and have been archiving all of the dialogue through screenshots on tumblr :3 it's been a few weeks since i played because my project hail mary / ryan gosling hyperfixation has taken over every other interest i have, but i'm very close to finishing the game!

i haven't been playing video games much lately in general, but like a lot of others i purchased and became very addicted to tomodachi life: living the dream when it came out. i have two islands, one with myself and my friends plus random characters, and one specifically based on qsmp1 ^-^ probably the silliest romance i've had is one of my friends fell in love with crystal from the usa directs the second they met as the second and third miis on the island and they still weren't the first miis to get married x3 and on my qsmp island i had cellbit fall in love with pac, only for his confession to be interrupted by roier and pac chose roier T^T it would've been really crazy if it happened the other way around since cellbit and roier were canonically in a relationship on the server x3 maybe tomorrow i'll finally pick up the game again and see what crazy things i've missed while i've been gone...

i really feel like i should have more general life stuff to talk about? i know my life is pretty boring and mundane, but most of what i can think to talk about is very online or fandom related. i guess that's just a testemant to how little i go out and how monotonously scheduled my life usually is. hopefully since it's now summertime and my mom is off work i'll have a bit more to talk about related to life in general :3

this post was drafted in early-mid june and it's now july sixth, i don't think i'm ever going to add anything else to it and i'll never truly get back into long form blogging if i don't post it, so i'm just posting it as is! hopefully i'll post again before the week is over and have some more interesting stuff to talk about ^-^
